What Is Failure and How Does it Relate to Success?

I am reading "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace D. Wattles, a book I will read over and over again and one that I have declared my favorite book. That may not mean much to you as you read this, but to me it speaks volumes because I don't have favorite anythings! There are way too many wonderful books, songs, movies, etc. to choose ONE and say it's my absolute favorite. I don't even have a best friend. Rather, I am blessed with several "best" friends, each for separate and individual reasons. I'm just not that black and white... a lot of gray matter here because there's too much to speculate. That's just me, though. And my point here is that for the first time, I can actually say that I have a FAVORITE book!

There was a paragraph in the book that really resonated with me and wanted to share, so here goes...

"The cause of failure is doing too many things in an inefficient manner, and not doing enough things in an efficient manner."

Is that powerful, or what? Read it again - it makes so much sense. I've always agreed with the concept that without failure you cannot have success, and I maintain that belief. But this certainly brings in a whole new realm into which we can dig much deeper. Understanding the root cause of something allows one to have the ability to change it. And this is no different. It's a simple shift. Stop doing too many things inefficiently and start doing the things you do more efficiently, even if it means doing less. Remember "anything worth doing is worth doing well"? I don't know who said that aside from 'Mom' but it seems befitting with Wattles' words.

Remember, success is a mindset. That's where it starts, where it has to stay, and what will manifest the desired result. Don't just set goals, set goals with purpose and see them as already achieved and failure will not be an option.

Keep in mind that we live in a world of opposites. Without light, there is no dark, without high, there is no low and without failure, there is no success. The key is to learn from your failures so that they bring you to your successes.

A Hard Lesson

The Law of Attraction teaches us that like attracts like. So what do you do when you have negative people in your life? Do you think they influence you in any way? You bet they do! I've always felt that when you have two "energies" - one positive and one negative, there are only a handful of results that can occur.

Either the positive force will bring the negative force up to its positive level, the negative force will bring the positive force down to its level, or the two will meet right in the middle. The last result is good for the negative force, but not so for the positive force.

We all have people in our lives that are negative energies or forces. They're judgmental, angry, bitter - you know the type! Some we can control having in our lives and some we cannot. Sometimes we are faced with difficult decisions as to how to handle those we cannot control being a part of our lives, like a family member. In this case you need to learn how to best deal with that difficult person to not allow them to negatively influence you. How you do that is between you, them, and maybe your therapist!

But if you have someone in your life that you do have control over the fact that they're in your life, and you either are or desire to be a positive person with joy, health, wealth and prosperity abound, then you need to remove that person from your life. This is often a very difficult decision to make and a drastic action to take. But think of it this way, the pain of it is weakness leaving your soul, much like pain from a hard workout is weakness leaving your body. With the weakness gone, you free up energy to focus on a more positive and healthy lifestyle. Strenghten your mind, body and soul for a more positive and prosperous life.

Success and Prosperity

What is success to you?  It's different for everyone.  To me, first and foremost success is a mindset.  To have success you must first believe you are successful.  When all things, mind, body and soul are in complete harmony and balance, then you have success.  You cannot have one out of balance with the others to achieve true success... they must all come together.

Prosperity comes as a result from such success.  Upon reaching this level of successs, you cannot hide from prosperity, try as you may!  We are all born to be successful and prosperous, regardless of our environment, culture, race, religion, socio-economic "class" or anything else.  The necessary piece to the puzzle is to simply have the faith and an unwaivering knowing that this is true.

I recommend reading "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace Waddles, who explains this much more eloquently than I do!

One thing is for sure, my life has completely changed since I've tapped into this resource, which until recently remained a mystery, but in actuality I now know it has been there all along.  Now I want to share it with the world!

To your success and prosperity,
