I am reading "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace D. Wattles, a book I will read over and over again and one that I have declared my favorite book. That may not mean much to you as you read this, but to me it speaks volumes because I don't have favorite anythings! There are way too many wonderful books, songs, movies, etc. to choose ONE and say it's my absolute favorite. I don't even have a best friend. Rather, I am blessed with several "best" friends, each for separate and individual reasons. I'm just not that black and white... a lot of gray matter here because there's too much to speculate. That's just me, though. And my point here is that for the first time, I can actually say that I have a FAVORITE book!
There was a paragraph in the book that really resonated with me and wanted to share, so here goes...
"The cause of failure is doing too many things in an inefficient manner, and not doing enough things in an efficient manner."
Is that powerful, or what? Read it again - it makes so much sense. I've always agreed with the concept that without failure you cannot have success, and I maintain that belief. But this certainly brings in a whole new realm into which we can dig much deeper. Understanding the root cause of something allows one to have the ability to change it. And this is no different. It's a simple shift. Stop doing too many things inefficiently and start doing the things you do more efficiently, even if it means doing less. Remember "anything worth doing is worth doing well"? I don't know who said that aside from 'Mom' but it seems befitting with Wattles' words.
Remember, success is a mindset. That's where it starts, where it has to stay, and what will manifest the desired result. Don't just set goals, set goals with purpose and see them as already achieved and failure will not be an option.
Keep in mind that we live in a world of opposites. Without light, there is no dark, without high, there is no low and without failure, there is no success. The key is to learn from your failures so that they bring you to your successes.
